BLAIR COWAN
FORWARD/BACK ROW

Blair is an experienced, rugged Loose Forward who was born in NZ and has an outstanding rugby pedigree, playing professionally in the UK from 2009 - 2021. Blair played for the Cornish Pirates, Worcester Warriors, Saracens and London Irish before heading to Japan to play for the Tokyo Black Rams in 2022.

Blair has also played at an international level, representing Scotland from 2014 - 2020.

“After leading our team to the MLR final in 2023 we welcome Blair back into the Legion family for another season. He knows the job was not finished last year and is chomping at the bit to go one better in 2024. His drive to succeed and his passion for the game is second to none and is the reason why the Legion boys are willing to go to war (rugby) with him every weekend. I’m looking forward to having him back in the red and black and to go one better for 2024.”

Danny Lee, Head Coach and Director Of Rugby

“Watching from afar and seeing how much rugby has grown in America because of the MLR really caught my eye.

And after speaking to Corbs and other players in the league, when the opportunity to join the Legion came up, it was certainly something I was excited about.

I hope I can bring my experience to the team and contribute to the club’s success.

The family and I are really looking forward to being a part of this club and enjoying the awesome beaches and culture San Diego has to offer." -Blair
