Taran was raised in Sandpoint, Idaho, where he played both basketball and football while growing up. He graduated from Pepperdine University and later moved to San Diego to pursue his dream of spending evenings at the beach after a long day's work. After attending a match, Taran fell in love with rugby and recognized the value it brings to the community.
As a sales leader, Taran builds and fosters relationships throughout the San Diego area to promote San Diego Legion on a global scale. Securing sponsors, creating new connections in the rugby world, and engaging with the community are his primary focuses in this role.
