The San Diego Legion announces 4 new exciting signings for the 2024 roster that include Cyrille Cama, Jay Tuivaiti, Harris Rutherford and James Vaifale!

About Cyrille Cama

“We are excited about the signing of Cyrille. The Fijian-born hooker, former USA Eagles U20’s, LA Giltinis and Rhinos Rugby product has come a long way in recent years and we at Legion are looking to reap the benefits of all this growth and development. We believe Cyrille is ready for the big stage of MLR rugby and we’re looking forward to him carving his own path to the top.”

Danny Lee, Head Coach and Director of Rugby.

About Jay Tuivaiti

“One to watch in 2024. Jay is a big, physical but athletic lock who will be exciting to watch next season. He has the raw ability and with the experienced players around him I look forward to seeing him make a positive shift for himself and Legion.”

About Harris Rutherford

“We are happy to announce the new signing of Harris Rutherford. Harris heads our way from Scotland where he has come through the Scottish pathway most recently representing Scotland U20’s. He has an American born Grandfather and therefore has his eyes firmly set on representing the USA Eagles in the future. We will look to aid his growth, passion and goals going forward here at Legion.”

“After previous seasons with Utah and Dallas respectively, James has decided to head to the West Coast and ply his trade with us. We are very pleased to have signed James for the 2024 season and we look forward to him settling in quickly and showing the Legion faithful his athletic prowess. James is definitely a player to watch going into this upcoming season.”
