San Diego Legion Players Sama Malolo and Shilo Klein join the super rugby league in New Zealand.

Congrats to Sama Malolo and Shilo Klein for joining the Super Rugby League in New Zealand!

ABOUT SAMA MALOLO:

“It’s happened again. Our Legion boys from 2023 are getting other opportunities. Sama has been selected for Moana Pasifika in the Super rugby competition. This just shows the level of the MLR and the eyes from around the World looking at our competition. All I want for all our Legion boys is to continue to grow in their profession and to aim up. Turn up everyday to grow and be better, on and off the field. Sama has definitely done this throughout the last year at Legion. I’m proud of what he has achieved with us and most recently with Samoa at the World Cup. He was simply a beast for us last season. An exceptional talent on both sides of the ball and If we needed something to happen then Sama was the guy. Something that we will definitely miss going forward into 2024. We will watch him closely in his next challenge and be cheering him along from San Diego. Once a Legionnaire, always a Legionnaire.”

ABOUT SHILO KLEIN:

“Once again we are sad but happy at the same time to announce that Shilo will not be returning to the Legion for the 2024 season. Shilo has been selected for the Blues in NZ to compete in the Super Rugby competition. He will be sorely missed as he was a huge part of our team on and off the field. He was superb in our set piece and one of our more dynamic players around the field. We are super proud of him and what he has achieved and we wish him all the best in this next chapter of his life. Once a Legionnaire, always a Legionnaire.”
