More Legion Signings For 2024

Some new signings for the SD Legion have been announced for the 2024 season!

GREG PETERSON:

“Another BIG signing of a BIG human being in Greg Peterson. With his vast experience and knowledge of the game, Greg is a welcomed addition to Legion heading into the 2024 season. At 6’8” and 273lbs Greg will be one of the bigger players running around in the MLR and we are thankful he is one of ours. I look forward to seeing Greg impose himself on the competition, lead from the front and set the platform for the rest of our boys to follow.”

CONNOR TUPAI:

“NZ born Connor Tupai is definitely one to watch this 2024 season. Connor grew up in England and has come through the Northampton pathways. A robust halfback that enjoys playing both sides of the ball, Attack and Defence. He loves the physical side of the game but equally comes alive when the game opens up. He will really add value to the Legion style and we look forward to seeing him light up the MLR.”

LINCOLN McCLUTCHIE:

“With the loss of Will Hooley to retirement we are thrilled to have Lincoln come in to fill the void that has been left. Lincoln is a quality player who has had experience at both NPC level with the Hawkes Bay Magpies in NZ as well as Super Rugby experience with Moana Pasifika.

He has come through the NZ pathway and has excelled at every step along the way. Lincoln is a natural leader and we will look to him to control our game and take us one step further in 2024.”

CHRIS MICKLESON:

“We are thrilled to have Chris onboard with SD Legion going into the 2024 season. Chris comes to us via the successful Brumbies organization in Australia and he will add real value to our team on and off the field. His dogged determination will hopefully rub off on the other boys this season and we can’t wait for him to throw on the black and red Legion jersey.”

ETHAN GRAYSON:

“The MLR is hitting all corners of the Earth and Ethan is another reminder of this. Outstanding English pedigree has landed at SD Legion. We are pleased to have Ethan on board bringing with him experience from the English Premiership. We look forward to him settling in quickly and going about his work.”

NICK BOYER:

“We welcome back to Legion the experienced 50+ MLR player Nick Boyer. Most recently Houston Sabercats, Nick has seen the light and returned. The former USA eagle has the ability to play in a few positions which adds real value to any squad. His highly competitive nature is an asset which will no doubt rub off on others in our quest for the Shield.”
