Congrats to Ben Grant and Richard Judd joining the Hurricanes in Super Rugby!

ABOUT BEN GRANT:

“Another one snapped up by Super Rugby. After 2 years with the San Diego Legion, Ben is unfortunately not coming back. He has been selected by the Hurricanes and will assemble in November. Ben has grown as a rugby player over the last 2 years with Legion. He has been our mainstay Lock throughout these years and has also been one of our most consistent performers picking up the award for Forward of the year in this last season. His performances have obviously stood out around the World and he’s been recognised for this with his inclusion in the Hurricanes. Leaving a big hole to fill for us but at the same time we wish him all the best and we’ll be watching from afar. Once a Legionnaire, always a Legionnaire.”

ABOUT RICHARD JUDD:

“This is a bittersweet announcement on Richard. We congratulate him on Super Rugby selection with the Hurricanes. He will leave a big hole in our team after a very impressive 2023 season. He was the backbone to our team and played a significant role in the overall success of the season. He will be deeply missed at Legion but we wish him, Jordyn and the girls all the best on their new adventure. Hopefully we see Richard and his family back in San Diego colors again at some stage soon. Once a Legionnaire, always a Legionnaire.”
